SSQ Life Insurance coverage ensures financial security for participants, or their spouses or children, in the event of death. A number of individual and complementary Life Insurance options are available.

Basic Life Insurance
SSQ pays the beneficiary the amount for which the insured is covered. Depending on the choice made by the group, this may be a fixed amount or a multiple of the insured’s salary.

Optional Life Insurance
Insureds may apply for an additional amount of Optional Life Insurance in accordance with their requirements. This protection complements Basic Life Insurance coverage.

Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
This coverage may be taken out to complement Life Insurance coverage. It provides for payment of additional benefits in the event of losing a limb, speech, eyesight or hearing, or in the event of paralysis or accidental death.
